Life Is Short: Making Time for Health as a New Parent
🛟 Appreciating your life, cooking and eating together, knowing when to push and when to relax

Hello friends,
Having a one-year-old daughter has shown me just how quickly time moves.
I like to say that the days feel long, but the months and years zip by.
But I'm not anxious about it. Instead,
I find myself fully present in each small victory, each quiet cuddle, each burst of laughter.
Because time does move fast.
This week in building health 👇
Eliminating What Doesn't Matter
One of the gifts of parenthood for me is quickly learning how to identify what I want to focus on.
100% I want to be as present as possible to my daughter and my wife. Combined with doing work I love, that leave me with precious little time for liesure.
And in a funny way it’s helped me exercise more.
Because when I have that leisure time, and I’m faced with the question of what I want to do with it— I go straight to exercise (because it makes me happy). Plus it aligns with my goals for being as healthy as I can be for as long as I can.
Investing in What Truly Counts
And I've found that my health and fitness aren't just about me anymore.
I want to have the energy to keep up with my daughter, to be present and active in her life.
Your health is the foundation that allows you to enjoy everything else. Instead of getting caught up in temporary fixes or trendy workouts, focus on sustainable habits:
Regular movement you genuinely enjoy
Nutritious food that fuels your body
Quality sleep that rejuvenates you
Mental health practices that keep you balanced
The time to start is now, but that doesn't mean you need to overhaul your entire life at once.
For me, it started with simple changes - taking my daughter for walks in her stroller, preparing healthier meals we can share together, and being more mindful of how I spend our time together.
These small steps add up to create a healthier, more present life.
What's one small step you're going to take today?
